About
Consumer Shield Scam Alerts is the scam-alert site for Consumer Shield Daily. Max publishes both. This site lives at alerts.consumershielddaily.com.
The site is not the FTC, the FBI, a state attorney general, the Better Business Bureau, or any other government or nonprofit office. Filing a report here does nothing, because this site does not accept reports. Use the report page to reach the agencies that do.
How an alert gets onto the site
A new file is added under data/alerts only when a public warning exists. The summary, red flags, and protection steps are written in our own words from that warning. Numbers appear only when the source stated them. The source URL is required. If a summary and the linked page ever disagree, the source is the one to follow.
Alerts are tagged by scam type and by the states the warning was issued for. A federal or national warning is marked nationwide and shows up on every state page for that reason, not because a new local case was confirmed there.
What this site will not do
It will not invent a scam, a loss figure, or a source. It will not dress up a sales pitch as an alert. If a sponsorship ever runs, it will be labeled as advertising. Nothing on these pages is legal advice.
There is no correction inbox yet. Until there is one, compare the summary with the linked official page.
